Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractors are trained to use manual manipulation techniques to free stiff joints with restricted movement. Known as Chiropractic adjustments, manipulation involves the chiropractor using their hands to apply quick, precise thrusts to the restricted joints. During manipulation there may be popping sounds. This is quite harmless. It is just the sound of gas bubbles popping in the fluid of the joints as pressure is released.
A Chiropractic treatment programme often takes place over a number of weeks, particularly if you have had the problem for a long time. Your can discuss appointment frequency at your initial consultation, and with evening and weekend appointments available, we should be able to book you in at a time that is convenient to you.
Acupuncture (Western Acupuncture/Medical Acupuncture)

Steve Shapland completed post graduate training to be able to provide this service to complement the positive effects of Chiropractic manipulation. This type of Medical acupuncture can also be used as a stand alone treatment. Gains excellent feedback from tendonitis sufferers e.g Tennis Elbow and in headache patients.

Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy, also known as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate healing in injured or damaged tissues. It’s often used in chronic soft tissue injuries, and is suggested to promote cell regeneration and accelerate the healing process. Shockwave therapy delivers focused sound waves to the affected area, which can stimulate blood flow, break down scar tissue and promote cell regeneration. It is frequently used for conditions such as:
Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonopathy, Tennis Elbow, Rotator Cuff injuries, Hip Bursitis, and Hamstring Tendonitis.
Appointments can include a combination of treatments, but the cost is simply per appointment. Payment is accepted by debit or credit card and cash. Cash or Bacs transfer are preferred when possible to limit card machine fees.
